Changing an advisor's status

Every status change is a button on the advisor's page, and the console tells you what it will do first.

Updated October 19, 2026

Open the advisor from the queue (search by name, email, or slug). The next status change is the main button on the Next step card; the rest are under Other actions.

ButtonFromWhat happens
ApproveReview"You're approved" email; their dashboard switches to setup
DeclineReview or SetupPolite decline email
Set liveFinal checkProfile goes public; "You're live" email
PauseLiveHidden from the site right away. No email.
RestorePausedPublic again; "You're live" email again
Reopen applicationDeclinedBack to review. No email.

Every change asks you to confirm and shows the email that will go out. The change, the email, and whether it was delivered all appear in the timeline.

When a button is disabled

The reason is shown next to it, for example "Finish the review checklist first (1 left)" or "Add their booking link first." The console won't let a step be skipped.

If you made the wrong change

Use the matching button to go back (Restore after Pause, Reopen application after Decline). If an email went out by mistake, tell the advisor yourself.

See The advisor lifecycle for what each stage means.
